Hey guys, if you didn't catch word on Facebook yet, we're heading over to the Huntington Beach fire pits to catch some killer waves come June 4th. Well, maybe not waves but come catch some rays atleast. We will have plenty of food, of course, and will be there at a firepit for the night. So come and bring as many friends as you'd like, the more the merrier. See you guys there :D

Book Club starting March 6th

Sup ladies and gentlemen, we're starting a book club since there has been plenty of interest. We will be reading Deadline by Randy Alcorn, we will be discussing what we read over breakfast on Sunday's before church starting March 6th. The time and place has yet to be decided but we will have more information soon. We look forward to seeing all of you for some deliciousness.

We have all been doing our own parts in church and in our own personal lives to reach out. Help for the Homeless

Janelle and family will be collecting items for the homeless to pass out on Thursday 12/23. If you would like to contribute please bring Jackets/Sweaters, Blankets and Ready-To-Eat Canned Food to the Amistad office. We will setup a box/bin where the items can be dropped off. We will need all items by Tuesday 12/21. Let's all share the love that God shares with us.

Wrapping Time!

We will be meeting at the church building this Friday at 7pm to wrap gifts for the Christmas dinner on Saturday. We have over two hundred children registered to receive gifts, so there will be plenty of wrapping to do! This is our chance to share the love of God with children who may not have all of the blessings that we share. Also, lets bring our bibles and be prepared to pray for these gifts and the children that will be receiving them.

We'll be shooting a short video clip to present on the 18th's dinner. There's not much you need to know except to bring that drama that you've been saving for your mama and plenty of random clothes for costumes. We're going to do it this Friday night at the 17th at pastor's house.

The Most Wonderful Time of Year

I hope we're all feeling better from some possible turkey over doses. If this cold weather hasn't gotten you into the holiday spirit yet, the lights and spirit of giving should. The kids form Amistad are going to do a presentation on December 18th, but they would like the help of youth to make it happen. If you have any ideas as far as maybe a play or a song you could help them out with, please let us know. Your help would be greatly appreciated and blessed with presents much better than a lump of coal!
